Physical Therapy
So I went to PT and my therapist told me that since I went from nothing to running most days I developed a super tight ITB band from weak muscles. I guess that since my muscles weren't strong enough I needed to work on them a bit before jumping into running. When you run and your muscle gets overused and tired, it passes on the motion to another muscle that then gives out and moves to another muscle group etc. With all my muscles being used in ways they aren't used to or supposed to work in It just made everything a bit off balanced and was causing the pain all over. He gave me 3 different ITB banc stretches, calf and abdominal strengthening and 2 hip flexor stretches. I have been trying to do them religiously and am happy that I will probably be back in the groove soon!
